Fun fact: My junior year I studied abroad in Hong Kong and traveled to six different countries.
Favorite honors class: Wisdom Literature; it gave me a completely different perspective at the Old Testament and was my favorite theology course I took!
Favorite experience: Smithsonian fall semester internship! I had an amazing time in DC with a group of other students. I traveled to other states, attended many concerts, and visited several art museums. Overall, it was an amazing experience living in DC and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for an off-campus program!
I also enjoyed working on the senior community project with the Spokane Tribe. I was able to learn a completely different culture and gained a different perspective of Whitworth and the city of Spokane. It was a very rewarding and humbling experience for me to work with the Spokane Tribe.
Value of honors program: I really value the connections I made through the honors program and the people that I have met through my classes. To be able to connect with students who share both different and similar ways of thinking has really taught me a lot throughout my 4 years. All of my honors courses have challenged me academically, which really helps me prepare for after Whitworth as I am thinking about graduate schools.
