Whitworth is the proud host of a literary journal called Script. Script is a completely student-run journal that has been producing editions since 1987, and this year’s edition is collecting submissions from several new categories.

With a new editorial team and two submission periods (one in fall and one in spring), this edition is hoping to get as many submissions as possible. Though traditionally Script only took written works of poetry, fiction, and CNF, this year they will accept submissions to photography, playwriting, critical papers, visual art, and just about any other creative category.

This is a fantastic opportunity for honors students to get their work published in a literary journal and definitely something to add to your CV. The last day to submit for the Fall period is December 16th – the end of the semester. Submissions will reopen in the Spring Term as the team begins to close in on the pieces they want and organize them into the pages of the journal.

Once the pieces are selected, the pages are organized, the journal is sent off to print, and we receive the editions, the editorial team hosts a reading with some of the contributors at Pirate’s Cove in May.

Get your work published in Script and support a student-run literary journal on campus!
